Local communities can also use the report as a tool to identify how to better meet the needs of their residents living with allergies and allergic asthma.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Seasonal allergies affect more than 50 million Americans. They can cause\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aafa.org\/rhinitis-nasal-allergy-hayfever\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">allergic rhinitis, commonly known as \u201chay fever.\u201d<\/a>\u00a0Symptoms include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Itching in the nose and eyes<\/li>\n<li>Sneezing<\/li>\n<li>Stuffy nose (congestion)<\/li>\n<li>Runny nose<\/li>\n<li>Mucus (phlegm) in the throat (postnasal drip)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>But relief is possible with management and treatment.
