Like bedding, stuffed toys attract dust mites and other allergens and irritants. They may also contain dyes and materials that can be irritating and cause allergy or asthma symptoms.<\/p>\n

Washing stuffed toys every week in water that above 130\u00b0F can help reduce allergens. You can also freeze toys for at least 24 hours to kill dust mites.<\/p>\n

For a stuffed toy to be Certified Asthma & Allergy Friendly\u00ae<\/strong><\/span>, it must meet our standards:<\/p>\n

  • Can be easily cleaned to remove allergens.<\/li>\n
  • Holds up to the wear and tear of regular cleaning.<\/li>\n
  • Keeps its color and does not bleed from rubbing or saliva.<\/li>\n
  • Contains no chemicals known to trigger asthma and allergy symptoms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Note:<\/strong> Kids Preferred toys are Certified through 2018. New Kids Preferred products made after 2018 are not Certified Asthma & Allergy Friendly\u00ae<\/strong> at this time.<\/p>\n<\/div>
