Manufacturer FAQs
How long does the certification process take?
Typically 13 weeks from initial inquiry to certification award, depending on product category, laboratory scheduling and whether any pre-testing modifications are required.
Which product categories can be certified?
There are currently 17 certifiable categories, from air cleaners and bedding to paint, flooring and insulation. Where no standard yet exists, ASL can assess whether to develop one in response to market and community need.
What is the commercial benefit of certification?
Certified brand partners consistently report sales uplift in the allergy-aware segment, stronger retailer sell-in, access to the healthcare professional referral channel, and a defensible claim that generic “hypoallergenic” labelling cannot match.
Can we use the certification mark in our marketing?
Yes. Certified products may carry the mark on packaging, advertising, point-of-sale and digital channels, in line with the usage guidelines supplied in your marketing toolkit.
