In the U.S., asthma and allergic diseases such as pollen allergies or food allergies affect more than 60 million people. The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of American (AAFA) has declared May to be National Asthma and Allergy Awareness Month. During this month, AAFA is working to raise awareness about these allergic diseases.
You can help raise awareness too. Asthma and allergies rates are growing. Better awareness helps those with these conditions get better treatment and care.
Here are three ways you can raise awareness during Asthma and Allergy Awareness Month:
1. Follow us on social media. All month, we will be posting about campaigns, managing symptoms, items you can buy and more to raise awareness.

2. Download our Certified Products app. Use our app while you shop so you can choose items that will be best for reducing allergens in your home or office.
3. Share how you #TackleAsthma and #TackleAllergies. AAFA is hosting a nationwide campaign to empower those living with asthma and allergies to share how they #TackleAsthma or #TackleAllergies. Five submissions will win a “healthier home” package of Certified asthma & allergy friendly® products.
These are just some of the ways you can promote Asthma and Allergy Awareness Month. AAFA also offers other resources to help you get the word out. Thank you for helping us raise awareness about asthma and allergies!
